The grenade used by Clarence to kill Bob Morton is a concussion style grenade, not a fragmentation (anti-personnel) type, neither of which, in real life, is capable of producing the type of explosion that obliterated Morton's home. In order to achieve the orange and black smoke as shown, gasoline would have to be involved. This, however, is clearly a "future" grenade capable of much higher levels of destruction.
