When Art3mis is captured and told she owes 23,000 credits, she should have been able to easily pay it off including all late fees and debt using the coins that she gained when retrieving the first two keys. However, the movie makes a clear distinction between "coins" as in-game currency, and "credits" as real life currency. The movie never explains the exchange rate, and there's no reason to consider it 1:1. It's quite possible that her credits debt vastly exceeds her coins savings.
