Sabretooth and Wolverine are supposed to be brothers, but in the first X-Men movie they encounter each other several times and there is no mention of this connection. This is because Sabretooth suffers from amnesia just like Wolverine, as explained in the comic book "X2 Prequels: Wolverine", which takes place between X-Men and X-Men 2.
