The M1 Abrams tank's main gun is not equipped with an autoloader, but though the characters fired their tank's gun repeatedly, they are never shown reloading it. The tank depicted in the film, however, is not an Abrams but an experimental M8 'Buford' Armored Gun System, whose 105mm rifled gun was indeed equipped with an autoloader.
