When Ellen returns home, she asks her kids, who are playing by the pool, if their grandma is in, and they refuse to answer because they are not allowed to talk to strangers. This doesn't make sense since prior to that question, she had an entire conversation with them. In addition, it is strange that kids that age are playing by the pool unsupervised and that the mother would then leave them to find the grandmother.
