The police car chasing Clean is very fast and is shown a short distance behind him, yet the policeman fails to realize that the black car he is chasing is not in front of him anymore and loses them despite Clean's hard braking likely leaving skid marks on the road and snow.The "Chase through a series of shots where there is an inconsistent lead" trope is so common it was even spoofed in a Family Guy cartoon, S16.E13 I Griffin: V is for Mystery
