When Kevin hits Noah during the barn fire scene, Noah is standing with the Colt Model 1911 pistol pointed at Claire. Noah had already fired 5 rounds out of it, yet it is shown with the hammer down. After firing a round in the 1911, the slide moves back, the spent case is ejected, the slide moves forward loading a new cartridge, and the hammer is left in the cocked position, ready to fire. With the hammer down, pulling the trigger would do nothing.
