52min into the film, Stephen is checking the portable TV for any news updates. Roger asks him what the time is. He says it's not quite 9 yet. Firstly, Roger is wearing a watch as he does all through the film so he wouldn't even have to ask. Secondly, Stephen's watch appears to show the time of 6:45.Neither watch is clearly visible, and both men were wearing mechanical watches. Many mechanical watches at the time required regular, manual winding and given their situation they may have neglected to do so.
