When Craig runs into his apartment house with his groceries to escape the chaos outside, a man is attacked just outside his front door and leaves a blood smear on the window. Yet several days later, when he leaves the apartment house to rescue a friend, he stands at the door for a moment and there are no blood smears on the window at all. Then seconds later when he walks out the door, there are several blood smears all over the window.
