When hiding behind the MP car, Jack grabs its spotlight which has been shot away, and turns it toward the shooter, flexing 2 heavy wires by which it had been hanging from the car. But a through-pillar spotlight has no wires in its mount; it's electrically connected by the rod inside the shaft. So if the light head is separated in any way, the light won't work.
