At the end, as Rivers walks into what should be the Consolidated Base Personnel Office, an element of pilots arriving for training report to inprocess. They get out of a line van, with flight gear including G suits and survival gear, but not helmets. If they came from the flight line, that would all be stored in lockers before reporting in for administrative matters.
