In the "WWI battle scene" at the beginning of the film, the sequence of events is implausible, and logistically impossible: this is how audiences see finished movies, not how they are actually made. Each special effect and stunt would require a separate set-up and filming. Even if the "wide" shot gets all of the action for one of the takes, the carnage and individual wounds on the stunt men (or actors) could not occur 'magically' while the cameras were rolling - make-up and effects people would have to prepare them in advance before each shot.
