Apparently the earlier version of the script called for Amelia to be killed indoors, because in the close-up shot after Jon Boy pulls up and shoots her at the side of the road, her body is close-up shown on what is obviously a beige pile rug, which would be a weird way to surface a sidewalk, even in the Hollywood Hills. Clearly that was footage used from another story line.
