When Dave, then Frank, go outside the Discovery to replace the AE-35 unit, neither one communicates with the other man who remains inside the ship to monitor the operation. In reality, there would be almost constant talk between the two because of the inherent dangers in going EVA.While focused on a mission critical task every effort is made to minimize unnecessary talk (chatter) between all members of the team. This is especially true during EVAs. And whatever you need to say, say it as succinctly as possible. If there was nothing that Frank or Dave could add that would assist, then proper procedure is to remain silent.
