During the Martians' attack on the White House, a member of the Secret Service shoots a Martian in the head and it collapses and dies. The same shot of it dying is reused and reversed one minute later, when the two boys, Cedric and Neville Williams, pick up the Martian laser guns and begin firing back at the Martians.
