Accessible ductwork is an odd vulnerability for a panic room, especially with tubes shown to be so large (electrical casings visible near the duct may also have serviced the panic room, leaving the electrical system vulnerable). Intruders could simply tear through the ducts to where they enter the room, and shoot through, or a slimmer person could even enter the room. However, the ductwork still travels through three inches of steel, which can't be broken through very easily.
