During the motorcycle chase where Bond and Wai Lin take the high route to escape their pursuers the bullets appear to be making sparks on the wooden structure (which they wouldn't do even when hitting a metallic surface). The bullet hits also follow a strangely horizontal line across the structure. With the implied rate of fire and considering the goons' firing position below the bike the bullets should stop hitting the structure after a few hits, even with low recoil.
