As they are trying to outrun the breaking ice after losing Goldenrod, Tantoo tells Varnay to put his harness on. Also Mike tells Gurty to buckle up. On thin ice there is not much risk of hitting anything, but one might want to unbuckle for fast exit from the vehicle.
