The displayed formula (diagram) on the chalkboard for menthol is incorrect. Although Stig is right when he writes down a molecular formula of C10H20O for menthol, the diagram shows one too many carbon (C) atoms and 3 too few hydrogen (H) atoms, giving a molecular formula of C11H17O. This means both that the teacher wrote down the wrong structure and that Stig read it incorrectly, too.
