The plan requires that ALL of the major networks play the commercial at the same time cost to coast for it work and not be detected by the authorities until it was too late. However, there are six time zones in the United States meaning that in certain areas children be at school or it would still be daylight when the commercials aired. How it would the commercial be able to affect them?
Additionally, even when there were only three major networks in the United States., none of them were willing to air the same commercial at the same time as their competitors. This would likely cause viewers to either turn away from their station or turn their televisions off while this was occurring.
