The film portrays the Stonewall Brigade as the cause of the Southern victory at Bull Run with their defense of Henry House Hill and the charge to overrun the Union batteries. In truth, the batteries changed hands multiple times and it was regiments from Col. Philip St. George Cocke's brigade that finally claimed the batteries by the end of the day.
