When Octopussy tells 007 that she's violated no British law, that's not entirely true. Magda was representing her when she and Kamal Khan initially put that stolen Faberge egg up for auction at Sotheby's. So, technically, both women could have been arrested for aiding and abetting a violation of the British Theft Act of 1968 (handling of stolen property)! However, as the Kremlin "categorically denied the incident ever took place," arresting Octopussy, Magda, and all the other women on those charges would've been a moot point.
