England and India played a test match (third of three) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai between 19th and 23th February 1993. Despite the fact that a cricket test match lasts for five days, the mach features twice in the movie at different point of the story, first in the begging of the movie when Vijay and Poonam go to watch cricket match and in the middle of the movie when Vijay and Rahul go to watch cricket match.
