While the movie tries very hard to show us some not too distant future, it fails by showing us one anachronism after the other. In some scenes you can see future gadgets like transparent laptops and autonomous cars but in most of the other scenes you see present day stuff although 16 years in the movie time line have passed by. Like in the bar where Gardner and Tulsa use the tablet you can see a girl using a present day iPhone. Also the cars in the street scenes are present day cars. When Tulsa and Gardner are shopping for clothes you can see a present day shopping center filled with present day items. Tulsa actually plays a song on a Yamaha MX-49 keyboard which is a currently sold model.
