Caesarion was not murdered while en route to India (where Cleopatra sent him so he would be out of Octavian's reach) as shown. Upon arriving in India, he was told by his tutor Rhodon that Octavian had invited him back to Egypt as Pharaoh. Whether Rhodon sincerely thought this or it was a trick is not known, but, upon his return to Alexandria, Caesarion was executed on Octavian's orders. This occurred after both Antony and Cleopatra died.
