Due coppie di fidanzati si stanno godendo la fine delle loro vacanze in Messico, quando un turista tedesco li invita ad una gita avventurosa attraverso la foresta alla ricerca del fratello. Dopo una lunga e difficoltosa attraversata, a cui si unirà anche un ragazzo greco, i sei si ritroveranno al cospetto di antiche rovine Maya. Le affascinanti rovine si trasformeranno ben presto un incubo per i sei turisti, che dovranno cercare di sopravvivere a malefiche entità che assediano il luogo.
