Jim abbandona il mondo della rivista per ritirarsi in una fattoria del Connecticut. La bella Laila non lo segue: Ted la convince a restare, per lui e per l'arte dello spettacolo. Jim dopo un po' si annoia e trasforma la fattoria in un atelier musicale. Trova anche una nuova fidanzata, Linda, ma ecco che torna alla carica il solito Ted, abbandonato da Laila, e fa balenare a Linda un futuro di celebrità.
