Nonostante abbia passato l'età dell'adolescenza, Arturo Bach continua a trascorrere le giornate nell'ozio passando dal Night al ristorante alle corse di macchine. Se il suo unico problema è quello di spendere i soldi, lo deve al fatto di essere figlio di un miliardario e di dover solo attendere per ereditare la fortuna paterna. L'unica condizione è che sposi (anche se controvoglia) Susan, a sua volta figlia di un ricco industriale. Un giorno, però, Arturo incontra Linda, la segue e se ne innamorata. Ma la loro unione, dal momento che Linda è una commessa figlia di un disoccupato, si rivela subito impossibile.
