Una star televisiva di successo negli anni '60, l'ex attore di "Hogan's Heroes" Bob Crane proietta un'immagine sana di uomo di famiglia, ma questo fronte maschera il suo personaggio di tossicodipendente che registra e fotografa i suoi numerosi incontri con le donne, spesso con l'aiuto del suo squallido amico, John Henry Carpenter.
