Sono gli alti e i bassi della vita i veri protagonisti di questa calorosa commedia su tre coppie di quarantenni che amano andare in vacanza assieme. L’armonia del gruppo viene guastata per sempre quando uno di loro lascia la moglie per una donna molto più giovane: si creano così due schieramenti, pro e contro la nuova coppia, e la grande lezione del film è che l’amicizia, come le stagioni, è in perenne mutamento.
