Il film si apre nel così chiamato "paese delle meraviglie" con il sottofondo de "i tre porcellini". Stanlio e Ollio lavorano in una fabbrica di giocattoli per bambini e gli viene ordinato dal direttore della fabbrica di costruire dei soldati in legno per divertire i bambini; ma Stanlio ne costruisce di dimensioni umanesche e non appena premuto il pulsante di accensione provoca il disastro nella fabbrica così i due compagni vengono licenziati....
