John Falcon Chapman è un ex marine che, per via del senso di colpa accumulato negli anni di servizio, soffre di disordini generati da stress post traumatico. Antieroe per eccellezza e auto-distruttivo, Falcon è costretto a volare a San Paolo quando sua sorella viene brutalmente assalita durante una missione in Brasile. Nel tentativo di rintracciare gli autori dell'assalto, entrerà nel ventre squallido della città e scoprirà un mondo di droga, di prostituzione, di poliziotti corrotti e di criminali ben organizzati.
