Un meteorite si stacca dalla cometa Coperinco e colpisce il luogo dove vivono il Dott. James Mayfield, rispettato astro fisico, e la sua famiglia. James è l’unico testimone vivente dell’accaduto. Come conseguenza dell’impatto il campo elettromagnetico della Terra gradualmente si sbilancia creando delle tempeste di onde capaci di eliminare qualunque dispositivo elettronico o chiunque vi sia a contatto. Toccherà al Dott. Mayfield trovare una soluzione prima che i poli della terra si invertano…
