Stonewall è l'ultimo film girato, nel 1995 dal regista britannico Nigel Finch, che morì di AIDS immediatamente dopo aver completato l'opera. Ambientato nelle settimane che precedettero i Moti di Stonewall, segue le vite di alcuni gay e transessuali Newyorchesi e le molestie che subiscono da parte della polizia allo Stonewall Inn, che porteranno agli scontri e alla nascita del Movimento di liberazione omosessuale. Il film si basa sul libro di Martin Duberman e vede tra i protagonisti Guillermo Díaz, Frederick Weller, Duane Boutte e Brendan Corbalis. Dwight Ewell, già apparso in altri film di Kevin Smith (soprattutto In cerca di Amy) e Luis Guzman, interpretano dei cameo.
