Stanley, alla fine del servizio militare, torna a casa e trova tutto cambiato: suo padre si è ritirato dagli affari e si è unito a un gruppo di nudisti che cercano di vivere un'esistenza tranquilla e bucolica. Lui invece, vorrebbe fare strada nel campo lavorativo e si propone ad alcune aziende come dirigente. Il mondo degli affari è però intricato e insidioso e Stanley non riesce a sfondare e una sua zia lo manda da un cugino, considerato uno dei maggiori uomini d'affari del luogo, i cui traffici però non sono del tutto legali. Stanley si rimbocca le maniche ed inizia a lavorare per lo zio, ma la sua ingenuità e la sua onestà portano alla rovina il ricco zio. Considerato un eroe nazionale, in grado di non abbassarsi e non retrocedere dinanzi a una società corrotta, Stanley è però senza lavoro: non gli resta che dare ragione al padre ed unirsi anche lui alla comunità nudista.
