Nel 1941 il generale delle SS Reinhard Heydrich viene nominato da Hitler a capo delle forze di occupazione naziste in Cecoslovacchia. Soprannominato "il macellaio di Praga", Heydrich è considerato il numero tre del Reich e il suo regno di terrore e brutale repressione della resistenza ceca spingono gli Alleati a escogitare un piano top secret destinato a cambiare la storia. Formati tra le fila delle forze britanniche, due soldati cechi in esilio saranno paracadutati nella loro terra natale per un audace incarico: assassinare il macellaio.
