Jamie e Dylan hanno rotto con i rispettivi partner. Per Dylan ricominciare può sembrare facile: gli è stato offerto di lasciare Los Angeles per New York dove potrebbe diventare art director del magazine GQ. La cacciatrice di teste che lo ha contattato è Jamie. Dylan viene assunto e Jamie otterrà un bonus supplementare se lui non lascerà il lavoro almeno per un anno. I due fanno amicizia e si rivelano le reciproche disillusioni amorose. Decidono così che sia possibile, se c'è la chimica giusta, fare sesso quando ne avranno voglia senza alcun tipo di coinvolgimento sentimentale. La chimica c'è e i due scoprono di desiderarsi fisicamente. Potranno riuscire a fare in modo che la loro relazione resti stabilmente solo a quel livello?
