Nel 1914, durante la rivoluzione messicana guidata da Pancho Villa, un gruppo di fuorilegge subisce un'imboscata durante una rapina in banca tesa loro da alcuni cacciatori di taglie. Qualcuno resterà ucciso, mentre gli altri saranno costretti a scappare. Il gruppo di banditi si ripromette quindi di fare un ultimo colpo prima di abbandonare questa vita, accettando l'incarico di rubare armi alle reclute dell'Unione per rivenderle poi alle armate regolari messicane che le useranno contro i ribelli. Un po' alla volta gli uomini iniziano però ad affezionarsi alla causa messicana e l'uccisione di Angel ad opera dei regolari messicani farà scattare in loro la voglia di vendicarsi.
