Adela e suo marito Juan vivono in Texas, dove Juan lavora come aiutante del ranch della ricca famiglia Tucker. Juan fa una buona impressione al capofamiglia, Caleb Tucker, ma questo provoca la gelosia e la rabbia del figlio di Caleb, Dylan. La mattina dopo lo Sfogo, una gang mascherata di assassini attacca la famiglia Tucker, tra cui ci sono la moglie di Dylan e sua sorella, costringendo entrambe le famiglie ad unirsi per combattere mentre il paese precipita nel caos e gli Stati Uniti cominciano a disintegrarsi intorno a loro.
