Bullet Train è basato sul romanzo giapponese scritto da Kōtarō Isaka - I sette killer dello Shinkansen (Maria Bītoru) - ed è ambientato su un treno proiettile giapponese che viaggia ad alta velocità da Tokyo a Morioka con pochissime fermate lungo il percorso. A bordo del veicolo ci sono cinque assassini impegnati in incarichi individuali che, a loro insaputa, sono tutti collegati tra loro. Quando gli assassini iniziano a rendersi conto di ciò che sta realmente accadendo, dovranno lottare per la loro sopravvivenza l’uno contro l’altro e scoprire i segreti che li attendono a destinazione.
