Wayne e il suo inseparabile amico Garth conducono in uno scantinato un programma musicale via cavo per adolescenti sbullati come loro. Il successo è tale che un boss televisivo che annusa il successo gli offre un contratto favoloso, ma non senza rischi. Scritto da Myers con i coniugi Bonnie e Terry Turner, il film è basato su personaggi e sketch della popolare trasmissione TV Saturday Night Live. È una comicità quasi esclusivamente verbale (e gestualmente molto agitata), affidata al gergo giovanile dei vidioti nordamericani che nella traduzione italiana va in fumo. 6° posto nella classifica degli incassi negli USA.
