I decided 40 years ago, I was French, I wanted to be French again, I wanted to be part of the French cinema, theater. So, I came back to France. François Truffaut gave me a lovely part in his film... But, there was no follow-up, for some reason. He thought I was good in it; but, the profession didn't open up to me... Truffaut said to me, oh, I wish I had listened to him, he said that you can never get back, you can never come back. The only roles I was ever offered came from America or England.
