Renée Lomax barges in, and Nadine quickly goes to the other room, and hides behind the curtain between the 2 rooms. Renée sees the nightgown and is amazed by it, she thinks Vernon got it for her.]
It's from Scarborough's! I swear, this has to be the most beautiful thing I've ever set my eyes on! I'm gonna try it on right now.
Vernon Hightower:
[He is worried. If Renée goes to the other room, to try it on, she will find Nadine there, naked.]
No, no! Uh, honey, you don't wanna be late for work, do you? Hmm? Hey, I got an idea. Why don't we leave this here, hmm? You can come back later and try it on.
Renée Lomax:
Uh-uh, I wanna take this with me. I'm not gonna let this out of my sight.
Nadine Hightower:
[when Renée quickly leaves, Nadine sticks her head out, above the curtain. She is mad.]
Vernon Hightower! I'm standin' back here buck-naked! If you let that dimwit walk outta here with my favorite nightgown!
