[Belle is reading "Romeo and Juliet" to the Beast]
Belle:
"There never was a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo."
Beast:
[smiling]
Hmm. Could you read it again?
Belle:
Well, here.
[Belle hands him the storybook]
Belle:
Why don't you read it to me?
Beast:
Uhh.
[he takes the book]
Beast:
Alright.
[he flips through the pages and tries to read but quietly stutters]
Beast:
[sighs]
I can't.
Belle:
[softly]
You mean you never learned?
Beast:
I learned, a little. It's just been *so long*.
Belle:
Well here, I'll help you.
[Belle takes back the book and sets it on the table; she flips through the pages]
Belle:
Let's start here.
Beast:
Okay.
[he reads]
Beast:
"Twoe"?
Belle:
"Two".
Beast:
"Two". I knew that.
[the Beast keeps reading]
Beast:
"Two households..."
