I am interested in distortions of utilitarian and geometric conditions in architecture. I've done a number of studies where something happens to a building due to some demand that has been put on it, the architect is trying, let's say to overcome an insurmountable obstacle. Let's say there is some problem you have to solve whereby you know, you have to bring light in in a certain way, you have to have a staircase in a certain place, in a certain room and all of these things somehow can't happen unless you resort to strange and unexpected forms. The architect turns to these strange forms to conceal all that they have done to solve the problem. Concealment is key.
