Because it's such a challenge. There's such a strong will to resist me. I mean some of them pretend I don't even exist for them. So I wait patiently for time to pass. Usually they give in and embrace me.
White Soldier:
Unless there's a war or a plague or something.
Death:
Exactly. Still I feel heartbroken taking away the young ones. I mean, they make such beautiful plans for their lives you know? They're always asking me, who gets to decide who stays longer and who has to go, but... that's not my business.
White Soldier:
Wow... touching. You're not the heartless bitch I thought you were.
