If we don't do anything about, say, the bomb, you know, we could be playing along one day and have the whole situation come to an end. So, personally, my outlook is that topical songs should be sung because they, kind of, are the singers way of doing something to improve the lot, which is ignoring, if he just kazoos off into the horizon.
