She absolutely refuses to bring the children, unless we put on our suits.
Mrs. Halloran:
[wearing only a pearl necklace and earrings]
After the way we brought her up? What's the matter with her?
Mr. Halloran:
[to his daughter, on the phone]
After the way we brought you up? What's the matter with you? Honey.
[to his wife]
Mr. Halloran:
She says they're her children and she's going to bring them up her way.
Mrs. Halloran:
They'll end up repressed.
Mr. Halloran:
[on the phone]
Mommy says they'll end up repressed.
[hangs up]
Mr. Halloran:
She's not going to bring the children.
