Kate:
[fakes a laugh]
Oh, the necklace. He didn't declare it at the airport, did he? Will he have to pay a big duty?
[Jean-Paul looks at her impassively. Her smile fades, and she becomes serious]
Kate:
Why don't you just arrest him?
Inspector Jean-Paul Cardon:
I'm old-fashioned. I owe him a debt greater than one of money.
