Of course, it was proved beyond any doubt that Esme Cordelia Hoggett was not a felon. But sadly, they had missed their all-important connection. And to make matters worse, they were obliged to wait some days for the next flight home. They couldn't go forward and they couldn't go back. They were stranded.
